The Committee

You can find information about specific MagSoc roles on the Committee Page.

If you are interested in getting involved, or have any questions, please get in touch with Edward Reeve (magsoc-president@srcf.net), MagSoc President 2016–17.

During the Cambridge term time, MagSoc holds recitals on Monday evenings, either in Queens' College Chapel or the Old Hall. The recitals last around half an hour, and are completely free, so it is a great chance to listen to some of the music going on in College. Details of upcoming recitals (and all other events) will be shown in the Google calendar, and as events on the Facebook page.

We are always looking for people interested in putting on recitals, either solo performers or groups; we welcome all styles of music! If you would like to perform in a recital, or would like more information, please contact our Recitals Manager (magsoc-recitals@srcf.net).

MagSoc supports soloists for concertos with our MagSoc Symphony Orchestra. There is often a concerto slot at the end-of-term concert. You will have the chance to play with a high quality orchestra in one of Cambridge's premier music venues. For more information, or to discuss details of pieces and auditions, please contact Edward Reeve (magsoc-president@srcf.net).

MagSoc prides itself on encouraging and supporting student conductors. There are numerous opportunities available with both of our orchestras, the MagSoc Chorus, and other MagSoc ensembles.

MagSoc is also proud to support the Conducting Programme of Queens', aiding student conductors in Cambridge with tuition and masterclasses from some of the best tutors in the UK. For more information, please visit the programme's Facebook page, or email the chairman (sdcpq@gmail.com).
