|End time||Thursday 30th November, 10:00pm|

MagSoc proudly presents their Michaelmas Term concert, an all-Handel programme conducted by Jack Spencer.
MagSoc Symphony Orchestra open the concert with the stirring overture to Handel's "Occasional Oratorio" and his engaging Organ Concerto in F major, nicknamed "The Cuckoo and the Nightingale" for its bird-song motifs.
Whilst "The Cuckoo and the Nightingale" is certainly the most popular of his organ concertos, Handel's most famous choral work is undoubtedly his oratorio: "Messiah". MagSoc Symphony Orchestra will be joined by MagSoc Chorus for a rousing rendition of Part I of this tremendous work, ending with the "Hallelujah" chorus.
